Welcome to the Missing Pieces Project.
As members know at the moment Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust has put the Research and Recording on hold after 10 years to take stock of future work, and catch up with outstanding projects. So at the moment the R & R are only undertaking urgent essential research and report or “catch-up”
However, Greensand Country Landscape Partnership (on the border of Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire) is inviting people to fill in the “Missing Pieces” as “Enriching the List” is now called and share their pictures and stories of the unique, significant and memorable places on the National Heritage List for England for others to see. So if you are interested in research and without too much writing this maybe for you.
If you are interested please contact Daniel Bowles as it is an opportunity to sharpen up you research skills. Training will be given as this is a new venture initiated by the National Heritage for England so a wide range of skills and experience is required from photography, landscape historian experience and local history knowledge. With this in mind it might we hope that some of you would like to take this opportunity to offer your expertise. So contact daniel@greensandcountry.com or Sheila Meekum 07984984390.
NB: The first training session is taking place on Tuesday 8th at 3.00- 4.30 in the Working Woodlands Centre in Maulden Woods, Haynes West End MK45 3UZ. Other dates will be available in the future.
