Celebrating Robert Marnock in Buckinghamshire – latest updates

The discovery and celebration of Robert Marnock as a C19 garden designer is gaining momentum and the attached are a number of recent talks we now have links for. Claire de Carle and Trust Researchers  have researched the three Buckinghamshire sites and produced a report and display about Marnock’s work at a cluster of three sites (incl. Taplow Court) in the south of the historic county. The Grade II registered garden at Taplow Court, is thought to have been one of Marnock’s principal works during the 1860s and 70s

This is the link  Streatham Society – YouTube where you can see the slides on this YouTube recording of Brent’s Talk.

Another Robert Marnock link and a mention of Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust is shown in the  FOLAR (Friends of the landscape archive at Reading) Bulletin, with a  reference to the Heritage Day at Taplow. You might like to sign up for future bulletins  Folar Bulletin October 2023 (squarespace.com)
