QR codes for Buckinghashire Gardens Trust
At the “Rare Plants Fair” we were asked for our QR code which we did not have. Now we do courtesy of Tomas at Framework Digital our website provider and solver of challenges. We shall be using these QR codes on posters, leaflets etc. so watch this space.
A big thank you to Lord Carrington who encouraged Bucks GT to take part in this event and to the “Rare Plants Fair” team for being so positive. Following the event there was a huge spike in links to the website home page and events page; a good result.
Note from Claire de Carle:
“This weekend was an extremely busy one, we held our AGM on Saturday (20th July) and it was a wonderful occasion at which to show off my award and everyone made a point of congratulating me!!
We did of course recognise that Sarah and Jo were also nominated for all their achievements with regards to planning.
Yesterday (Sunday 21st July) we attended our first ‘Rare Plants Fair’ at Bledlow Manor home of our patron Lord Carrington, it was the most successful audience engagement event we have attended yet, with over 800 visitors.
We were located right by the entrance and were able to talk to visitors in the queue (see photos) a majority of whom had not heard of the Garden Trust and were very interested in what we do,some of them lived locally but many were from neighbouring counties particularly Oxfordshire, so we gave those CGT’s a plug, there was even a coach load from the Cotswolds.
As it was an all day event we operated a shift system for the volunteers, who all enjoyed meeting the visitors and hopefully this will result in them visiting our website and even some new members!!
It was definitely the right demographic and there were also some children who took part in the GH lucky dip and they loved the stickers ” I am a Garden Historian”
