Wardrobes House visit- 19th July

Wardrobes House, near Princes Risborough

These photographs are from a recent visit by Claire (Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust Chair) and Gwen (Council Member) to Wardrobes House, near Princes Rsiborough, which was recently opened to the public as part of the National Open Garden Scheme.
Stretching over three acres, the gardens have been remodelled over recent years to include formal and vegetable gardens, including a classic water garden, haha and bastion, a large greenhouse and other informal areas. The gardens surround an eighteenth century Manor House built for the First Earl of Burlington. There are a variety of mature trees including holm oak and yew.
Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust hopes to include the gardenĀ  in its 2006 programme of private visits
