Michael Hunt our marvellous tree specialist is nearly back to fitness and so on Saturday he went on a tree tour of Hughenden Manor and the valley at Hughenden and notched up 55 species of trees.
The manor still retains its formal bedding and we just love the topiary swan in the middle photograph.
The third photograph is Prumnopitys Andina the Chilean yew or otherwise known as Plum Fruited Yew introduced from Southern Chile in 1860 by Robert Pearce for Veitches Nurseries This species thrives on the chalk land.
