PLAS BRONDANW Gwynedd Wales
– one of the most spectacular ‘borrowed landscapes’ in the UK.
Advolly Richmond visited another historic garden on Gardeners World last week (2/3/24)
The former home of the architect, Clough Williams-Ellis the creator of Portmeirion made famous in the 1960’s by the iconic TV series ‘The Prisoner’. The garden has not changed since I visited 10 years ago, although I imagine that its trademark turquoise paint has been touched up.
It is of course an architectural garden made up of individual rooms with wonderful vistas that draw your eye to the surrounding mountain scenery of Snowdonia.
Well worth a visit if you are in North Wales but in the mean time you can catch Advolly’s brilliant film on BBC iPlayer.
