Dear Members, Well, another year has flown by, and it will soon be time to renew your membership of Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust, due on 1st April. I thought I would take this opportunity to remind you about the role of the Gardens Trusts and how your subscription is spent. Each of the 37 county trusts is autonomous and they are all members of the Gardens Trust, our umbrella organisation. Our members and volunteers are instrumental in the work of the Gardens Trust: our researchers work with our two planning experts who report back to the Gardens Trust, which is a ‘statutory consultee’ on planning matters related to registered parks and gardens (Grades I, II*, II).
