This is Zanthoxylum Americanum known as The Toothache Tree It is from E North America The twigs and fruits are said to have been chewed by the Native North Americans to alleviate toothache, the acrid juice having a numbing effect.
Makes you. Wonder might be worth growing one seeing as getting a dental appointment is near impossible these days!!!
