On Thursday 5th October the Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust held its fifth Gardener’s Network Meeting at the Walled Garden on the Wormsley Estate, our wonderful host for the afternoon was Charlotte Tremlin, the Head Gardener.
Over fifty attended including gardeners from across the county, our patron Lord Carrington and other representatives from the Trust, and 15 team members from across the Wormsley Estate.
Matt Vaughan from Geo Tree https://www.geo-tree.co.uk gave a demonstration of a system which focuses on maintaining and improving the health of trees in a sustainable and natural way and this was followed by a talk from Ben Marsh from 4 Seasons Tree Care, https://www.4seasonstreecare.co.uk .
Afer the demontration and with the encouragement of the warmth of the sunshine the guests were free to enjoy the wonderful features of the four inner gardens of the Walled Garden and the delicious refreshments provided by Ashley Catering. The gardens team were on hand to answer questions and a considerable amount of networking took place!

Was I the only one to jump when Matt did his soil fracking? The ground literally did a tidal wave. A bit unexpected but as usual, you learn something new every time at these meetings. Could be just the answer for some of our historical gardens and struggling Veteran trees. Thank you Charlotte for a really lovley afternoon.
