Oxfordshire GT programme: On line zoom – Brenda Colvin and the Women of the Welfare Landscape & Summer Programme of Visits

March 14 @ 12:00 am

£4

Brenda Colvin and the Women of the Welfare Landscape

Our next talk is on 14 March and is entitled “Brenda Colvin and the Women of the Welfare Landscape”.

Professor Csepely-Knorr will discuss the work and legacy of women landscape architects and garden designers working in the post-war period in Britain and beyond. By looking at the networks of Brenda Colvin (1897-1981) the first woman to be elected president of the Institute of Landscape Architects, Professor Csepely-Knorr will highlight the impact she and a wider network of women had as designers, educators, campaigners and advocates.

Professor Luca Csepely-Knorr is Chair in Architecture at the University of Liverpool School of Architecture. She is leading the Arts and Humanities Research Council funded Women of the Welfare Landscape project, that uncovers the contribution of women to the creation of the landscapes of the British Welfare State and beyond.

The lecture will be via Zoom.  To book please visit OGT Events on EventCube.io

This site also has the events for the year. Bucks GT members are welcome and the cost is the same as for Oxfordshire Members.
